She and husband Christophe live there, calling themselves “epicurean vagabonds” and running a company they created three years ago named Survival Chic.

“We’re crazy about food, wine, art and events with an edge, Brumby says. “After living off, working in and traipsing across six continents collectively. We know the time and effort it takes to discover the best lifestyle experiences in a city.”


Providing insider tips for those with a taste for adventure and a sense of humor, Brumby says, is their goal, helping smart cosmopolitans navigate Singapore, and make interesting new friends along the way.


As to the street food? Brumby says, “Street food is legendary in Singapore, and we often eat at the fabulous local food courts, large outdoor communal dining areas, where you can order food from hundreds of stalls selling every kind of cuisine under the Asian sun, all for just a few dollars.”
